Sermon Series |  Speaking Lent

In this sermon series we will explore, claim, and reclaim some of the most important and common words associated with the season of Lent. As we move through this season, we will spend time on some of the most important vocabulary associated with Lent so we might be prepared for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

August 30th – September 2nd |  Church Family Retreat

All are invited to join us for the second annual, Church Family Retreat. This is a weekend of rest, fellowship, worship, and fun in the beautiful mountains of Montreat, NC, a Presbyterian conference center 3.5 hours from Atlanta.
The weekend consists of planned group programming, and plenty of free time to enjoy the many activities offered by Montreat and the surrounding areas. Registration fee includes lodging, food, childcare and programming. Early Bird Registration is open now.

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity Build

We build new homes in eight days over eight weeks. Each year, we help about 50 new families to become first-time homebuyers. You and the homebuyer will be guided by a house leader and skilled supervisors to build high quality, affordable and energy-efficient homes.  Join Us!

Concerts at First

The Concerts @ First Series (formerly Musica Sacra Atlanta) runs from September through May, offering diverse programs by reputed soloists and ensembles in the beautiful setting of First Pres’ sanctuary.

The Arts Council offers events throughout the year, including gallery tours and lectures. They also take great advantage of our location so close to the Woodruff Arts Center.

Lay Leadership Nominees

The Nominating Committee is responsible for preparing an annual slate of 5 Ruling Elders (two of whom will be Trustee-Elders) and 8 Ministry Leaders who will be ordained for particular service to the church.
