FPC offers a number of weekday small groups in which individuals can meet together to study the Bible, discuss various aspects of Christian life, and share together in open and honest conversations. Groups meet either at FPC or in homes in surrounding Midtown neighborhoods. For more information about what group is right for you, contact: Allison Cochran.
FPC Weekday Book Club
Wednesdays, 11:45am, Room 156
Designed for people who live or work in the midtown area and want to be part of a lunchtime book club, this group meets each Wednesday, for one hour, to discuss a chapter of a predetermined book. Book selections vary but are generally tied to issues of faith. Previously read books include Gilead by Marilynne Robinson and Toxic Charity by Robert Lupton.
Wednesdays, 10:00am, B111
This group offers an in-depth study of the New Testament using the Disciple curriculum, which has been developed by leading seminary professors across the country. This survey of the NT looks at how the early church took ownership of and was shaped by the story of Jesus as well as how these writings still work to shape our faith, both personally and communally. For more information, contact Allison Cochran.
Wednesday Lunch Time Small Group
Wednesdays, 12:30, Room 156
Bring your lunch and engage in a discussion-oriented Bible study led by FPC’s Rev. Kevin Knab. All are welcome to join in. For more information, contact Kevin Knab.
