Music & the Arts
Walking down the halls of the church, there’s no doubt you’ll hear people singing or playing an instrument, beautiful organ music echoing through the hallways, bells ringing, or the giggles of children in art class. You may even encounter a few little ballerinas.
Making a Joyful Noise at First Presbyterian
We celebrate with music throughout the year at First Presbyterian. Our Orchestra is known throughout the region for their excellence and performs at Christmas, Easter, and other special Sundays. Our volunteer Chancel Choir performs a large repertoire from early music to Gospels and Spirituals each Sunday at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Our Carillion Bell Choir participates in worship about five times per year. The Children’s Choir practices on Sundays and performs for the congregation from time to time.
