The Dinner and Dialogue group invites friends and members of FPC to join them for a trip to Brattonsville, SC, for the “By the Sweat of Our Brows” event on Saturday, September 9, 2023. By the Sweat of our Brows is an annual event at Historic Brattonsville that provides an opportunity for descendants of the white and enslaved people who lived and worked at the Bratton Plantation to come together and share their stories.

The event will feature two panel discussions with the African American and white Brattonsville descendants who have recently learned they are blood-related. They will be discussing the impact of this discovery on their personal lives as well as the projects they are working on together.

Friends and members of FPC will leave on the afternoon of Friday, September 9, to stay in hotels and share dinner in nearby Rock Hill, SC, on Friday night. The event on Saturday is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
