Answering God’s Call to Serve Others

One of the best ways to share God’s love is caring for others. Through our ministries and initiatives, we have a variety of volunteer service opportunities. We encourage you to get involved by exploring the many programs listed below.

Community Ministries

Food Market

Help us serve the community through the newly renovated Venable Food Market! Volunteers assist with sorting and stocking shelves, helping clients select groceries, and bagging items.
When: Tuesdays, 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Split into two time slots of three hours each)

Foot Care

Support our neighbors through the historic Foot Care Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. Volunteers provide non-clinical care to keep clients’ feet clean, healthy, and comfortable.

Sunday Prayer Breakfast

Join us to prepare and serve a hot breakfast to over 300 unhoused neighbors. Tasks include cooking, serving, cleaning, and dishwashing.
When: Sundays, 6:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.

Faith Formation

Habitat for Humanity Build

Join the team to help build FPC Atlanta’s 48th Habitat House! No experience is necessary—volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. Tools and lunch will be provided.

Epiphany Initiative 2025

Do you have a skill that could support entrepreneurs- marketing, finance, leadership, fundraising, executive coaching, strategic planning or other? The Epiphany council is building a network to come alongside social ventures.

Global Missions

You’re invited to serve members of Atlanta’s refugee community through one of FPC’s Global Mission partnerships: Memorial Drive Ministries, The Amani Women’s Sewing Center, Friends of Refugees, or Inspire After-school program. Volunteer your time and share your love with those new to our country on the path toward becoming new Americans. Some volunteer opportunities include:

  • ESL volunteer Instructor/one-on-one tutor

  • Sewing instructors or sewing machine maintenance

  • Transportation help

  • Family literacy partners

  • Childcare, holding babies

  •  Tutor for middle school students

Training is provided, hours are flexible, the need is massive.
